Oracle E-Business Suite has been up and running for over 30 years. In that time, the words “Wow, is the reporting from EBS great or what?” have probably never been uttered. EBS reporting, or lack thereof, has been the basis for third-party reporting tools for years. However, with the release of 12.2 and the incorporation of Enterprise Command Centers into the base product, does that sentiment still hold true? One of the main benefits touted by Oracle for Cloud ERP is out-of-the-box reporting. General Ledger Balances are stored in Essbase, and accessible via SmartView. Transactional Business Intelligence is also built in, allowing for ad hoc and robust operational reporting. This session of the EBS to Cloud Series will focus on Reporting. What can be done OOB in EBS vs. Cloud and what tips and tricks can be used to improve on the always present Record to Reporting issues?
